Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have announced their baby names for their twins, who Carey gave birth to on Saturday, April 30, via the singer's official website. The couple already announced that the twins' names would begin with an "M," and the couple followed through with this.

The happy couple named their son Moroccan Scott Cannon and their daughter Monroe Cannon. Cannon's middle name is Scott and it is also his grandmother's maiden name. The couple chose not to give daughter Monroe a middle name since her mama doesn't have one.

The parents chose the name Monroe after Hollywood vixen Marilyn Monroe, since she has always been a huge inspiration to Carey. The name Moroccan also carries a lot of meaning. It was chosen since Carey's Manhattan penthouse is decked out with decor inspired by the country, and this was the place where Cannon proposed to Carey.

Surprisingly enough, Carey and Cannon welcomed their first babies on their third wedding anniversary. As a result of this coincidence, the couple decided to renew their wedding vows in the hospital. How adorable! These past few days have truly been a blissful time for the Carey/Cannon clan.
