Now that Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon is healthy and back on his feet, she can focus on her new album. The Grammy-winning songbird was working long hours Thursday night (Jan. 26) as she returned to the studio with her longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri.

Mimi was dressed in all black as she showed off her newly svelte figure in photos that Dupri posted on his Twitter page. "I said MC they don’t expect you to be camera ready, she said Yes they do LOL!!" tweeted JD.

Not only was the R&B diva camera-ready, the BET Honors recipient was in the zone as she and JD were recording until the wee-hours of the morning at Atlanta's Southside Studios. "I told y'all MC stays up working longer than me we still writing #teamnosleep," he wrote.

Judging by the photos, it looks as if MC and JD were having a lot of fun in the studio. The last time the duo paired up they created the classic 2005 ballad, 'We Belong Together,' which became the most popular song of the decade.

There's no official word on when Mariah Carey's 14th studio album will arrive in stores.
