Welsh singer Marina Diamandis, better known as Marina and the Diamonds, appeared in New York City this week to perform an acoustic set at the Mondrian Soho for an audience of industry insiders. She didn't sing her cover of Justin Bieber's 'Boyfriend' this time, instead playing some of her most well-known songs.

Muumuse captured footage of the intimate gig, which featured Marina backed up by guitar and keyboard players. Above, check out the clip for 'Starring Role,' the despondent ballad in which Marina sings, "You know I'd rather walk alone than play a supporting role / If I can't get a starring role."

Among the other songs Marina performed was 'Primadonna,' which won PopCrush's most recent About to Pop reader poll with a whopping 73% of the vote. The dance-pop song retained its power even in the acoustic setting. She also sang 'Teen Idle' and 'Lies.'

Marina and the Diamonds' sophomore album, 'Electra Heart,' hit No. 31 in America earlier this year. She supported Coldplay during a portion of their recent summer tour.
