Marina + the Diamonds Wins 2013 Battle of the Brits!

Congrats are in order for Marina + the Diamonds. She won PopCrush's epic Battle of the Brits! This battle royale carried on for two months – since July 3 -- and Marina + the Diamonds ultimately prevailed as the winner!

Marina's final battle was against pop superstar Jessie J, but the underdog came out on top.

It was no easy feat to be crowned the champion in our Battle of the Brits, since Marina had to take down some seriously stiff competition over a sustained period of time. The British music scene is dense with awesome acts right now so there was no shortage of talent going for it in our battle brackets. Huzza!

Over the course of the summer, Marina took out Calvin Harris, Birdy, Passenger, Paloma Faith and then Jessie J.

There were three initial rounds, 32 artists and four categories (Pop Solo, Groups + Bands, Singer-Songwriter, Electronic) and Marina survived the second round, the quarterfinals and the semis and the championship round!

Congrats again to Marina + the Diamonds for pulling out this huge win! She is the last woman standing!
