Marine Talks About Her Guys’ Choice Awards Date With Justin Timberlake

Remember Kelsey De Santis, the marine who asked Justin Timberlake to be her date for the Marine Corps Ball last year and then got to attend the Guys' Choice Awards with him this year? She's dishing on all the details of how date No. 2 came to be!

"The Thursday before the show I received an email from Justin's manager asking me if I was in L.A. and could I make it to the awards. I was so surprised," said a shocked De Santis to E! News.

De Santis, of course, accepted and was also allowed to bring her boyfriend Jake, a former marine.

"We walked in and they told us that we were way up in the front, and here we are walking past all these celebrities," De Santis went on. "Aaron Rodgers was on our left. We then see Brooke Hogan. We sat down at our table and it was full of models. It was so cool." Aaron Rodgers, call us. LOL at Brooke Hogan, though.

But the cherry on top of De Santis's evening came when Timberlake took the stage where he was honored with the Troops' Choice prize. A number of military men joined the singer and stood by his side as he gushed about how much going to the Marine Corps Ball meant to him. Then, he called De Santis by name.

"All of a sudden he said, 'Kelsey, where you at?' I was smiling from ear to ear, I did not see that coming. It was really nice and I was super excited," said De Santis. "It is a huge, huge deal. Sometimes we take things for granted. It means so much that Justin shows his appreciation for the service, not just to me, but for all the servicemen and women out there."

De Santis and her boyfriend ended the night backstage, where they met Adam Sandler, Matthew McConaughey and Steven Spielberg. "I was excited to be able to be a part of the whole thing. It was an overall awesome experience."
