Maroon 5 will join 5 Seconds of Summer, Ariana Grande and Usher on the performance roster for the 2014 Video Music Awards.

MTV announced the exciting news today, Aug. 6, and revealed that the 'Maps' band will be performing a track from their upcoming album 'V' when they take the VMA stage on Sunday, Aug. 24.

Though the band has never performed at the VMAs, they've won big in the past, taking home moonmen for Best New Artist and Best Group Video in 2004, Best Group in 2007 and Best Pop Video for 'Payphone' in 2007. Not too shabby!

And of course, it just adds even more excitement for frontman Adam Levine, who's having a pretty good year himself: getting married, starring in his first movie and releasing his fifth album with the band.

Want to catch Maroon 5's performance? Be sure to tune into the 2014 VMAs at 9PM ET/PT on MTV on Sunday, Aug. 24.
