Does Leonardo DiCaprio have something to worry about? Is he about to be supplanted by One Direction's Niall Horan as legendary director Martin Scorsese's favorite blond heartthrob with whom to work? Word is that Marty is considering directing a 1D film.

Anyone who has seen the 1D concert doc 'This Is Us' remembers that scene where Scorsese met the boys backstage at their MSG show in NYC.

It was his daughter Francesca, 14, who made him a Directioner, even giving her dad -- who directed 'Goodfellas,' 'Taxi Driver' and 'The Departed,' to name a precious few -- one of their albums as a gift.

A source told the New York Daily News that "Martin is very passionate and enthused about the music of One Direction."

See, not all Directioners are 16-year-old girls! Even Marty Scorsese can appreciate the music of 1D.

Mr. Scorsese does have a history doing artist-based films, having worked with Michael Jackson and the Rolling Stones.

'This Is Us' was a huge success, collecting a reported $67 million in receipts. It is the fourth highest grossing concert film of all time and made back its budget six times over. If the boys teamed up with Scorsese, it would be epic.

The director's latest film, 'The Wolf of Wall Street,' is at the multiplex now.
