The always fashionable OG diva Mary J. Blige performed on the 'Good Morning America' summer concert stage this morning (Sept. 2), look as glam as ever in a pink genie style jumpsuit and eyebrow grazing bangs. She is always so put together and so fab.

In her interview on the GMA stage, MJB talked about her upcoming album 'My Life II, The Journey Continues' which is due out in November and is a companion to her second album, 'My Life.' She spoke about how she has grown up since the first 'My Life' and has learned to weather the storm, and that with life comes trials and tribulations, triumphs and happinesses. She said that 'My Life' was "a very important record, it came from a very dark place where we needed a lot of help." For the "sequel," she said, "We still need help with each other. Our journey continues, we learn to weather the storm. We know how to do it now. The journey continues. As long as we're living, the journey must continue."

Blige also spoke about the upcoming films roles she has booked, including a role as Nina Simone. We can't think of anyone better suited to tackle the role of the jazz legend Simone than Blige. Blige also has a role in the much buzzed about film version of the 'Rock of Ages' musical. The singer revealed that  Tom Cruise has transformed into a true rock star for his performance as Stacee Jaxx. Many critics wondered how Cruise would handle his role, but according to Blige, he's got it down and then some.
