Commercials may not be her thing, but perhaps television is. Mary J. Blige has signed on to be a judge on 'Opening Act,' a talent search-style reality TV show set to air on the E! network.

According to Deadline.com, the show will pair Blige with another judge, Antonina Armato— a songwriter/producer behind hits for the likes of Miley Cyrus ('See You Again') and Selena Gomez and the Scene ('Naturally'), among others — who will scour the web looking for the most talented unsigned artists.

The selected acts will be put through a series of challenges and mentoring sessions on their quest to become the opener for a major artist. Nicki Minaj, Brad Paisley, Jason Mraz, Rod Stewart, LMFAO, Jason Aldean and Gym Class Heroes have all signed on to allow the winner to potentially open for them.

'Opening Act' will air July 9th, and is executive produced by 'American Idol' executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.
