Grammy award-winning songbird Mary J. Blige is known for bringing the drama, but in her new video for 'Living Proof,' she's looking to tug at your heartstrings. The emotional song is from the soundtrack for the new film 'The Help,' which opened in theaters Aug. 10.

The video features the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, who's looking oh-so beautiful in her peach-colored blouse, white blazer and blue jeans, belting out the emotive ballad about finding strength in the midst of life struggles. Ms. Blige's vocals on the song gives us goosebumps as she sings, "So many don't survive, they just don't make it through / But look at me, I am living proof."

The clip is also interspersed with several scenes from the 1960s-era film about two black housekeepers in Jackson, Miss., who fight to end unfair treatment of black maids working in white households with the help of a white female writer.

While this is a beautifully shot video, it doesn't inspire us to go see 'The Help,' but it sure has us hankering for a new Mary J. Blige album ... ASAP. Blige will reportedly release her tenth album, 'My Life II: The Journey Continues' on Oct. 4.

In the meantime, this video is concrete proof that Ms. Blige is, indeed, the truth.
