To celebrate the release of her upcoming album 'My Life II… the Journey Continues (Act I),' Mary J. Blige will perform a one-night-only concert honoring her 1994 breakthrough LP 'My Life. The show will take place in New York on November 23, just two days after 'My Life II' arrives in stores.

Blige tells MTV that her 1994 album is just as important today as it was when it was released 17 years ago. "I think 'My Life' is so relevant now and will always be relevant," she says. "It's etched in stone in the music world and people's personal lives because it was the very first time that someone said something that people were thinking. I was speaking from my own life and my own trials and tribulations. Turns out 4 million other people were feeling the exact same thing at the same time."

Tickets for her 'My Life' Concert are a whopping $105. However, this is for the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and she's not known for giving a dull performance. So if you are truly a MJB fan, you can cop tickets at Live Nation.

In the meantime, Blige sees both of her 'My Life' albums as self-help guides for those working to improve their self-worth in life. "When something that big hits the universe -- it's a big deal," she says. "I think that's why it's around: It's a self-help book to remind people of how far they've come or to let them know somebody can relate to your pain as well. And that's what this album is about as well."
