Mary J. Blige hit the stage at Fort Bragg in North Carolina on Tuesday (Dec. 13) to perform for the soldiers and their loved ones. The event was filmed for a NBC special 'WWE Tribute to the Troops,' which features WWE's toughest superstars. Rock band Nickelback and comedian George Wallace also entertained the troops, as well.

Dressed in all white, the Queen of hip-hop/soul gave a somber yet poignant performance of her latest single, 'Need Someone.' Mary's yearning vocals held the crowd's attention as couple held each other in their arms.

It wasn't all sad tunes, as Blige returned to the stage to give a rousing performance of her 2001 hit single, 'Family Affair.' The songbird had the crowd standing at attention and got it crunk up in the place. "We got ya open, now ya floatin' / So you gots to dance for me," she demanded and the audience obliged.

During the holiday season, we can't forget about the men and women who are serving overseas and their families who are holding it down in the United States. So we have to give props to Mary J. Blige for uplifting the spirits of our American soldiers.

NBC will broadcast 'WWE Tribute to the Troops' on Dec. 17 at 9PM EST.
