Singer-songwriter Mat Kearney first gained notoriety with the release of his debut album, ‘Nothing Left to Lose,’ in 2006. With his track ‘All I Need’ being featured on TV shows like ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘NCIS,’ he saw chart success and even toured with some pretty big names like John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Train and way more. Now, he's getting ready to release his new album, 'Just Kids' (out on Feb. 24). While you're waiting for the album, we've got a total treat from the singer, as he decided to share an exclusive video with us detailing five unknown facts about himself!

Some fun facts about Mat? It turns out that despite being currently based in Nashville, he’s actually a sixth generation Oregonian — meaning his family’s roots in Oregon go back six whole generations worth. That’s a pretty cool tidbit that goes perfectly with his second fact: He’s a huge fan of football team the Oregon Ducks. He even brandishes a football helmet with the team’s mascot on its side, just to prove how huge a fan he is.

We don’t want to give away everything in the video (because where’s the fun in that?), so you have to check it yourself, and believe us -- the last fact is especially worth sticking around for.
