After joining Sugarland at the CMA Awards on Wednesday to perform his new song 'Run,' Matt Nathanson is now flying up the iTunes chart with the studio version of the mid-tempo pop-rock duet.

Incorporating a trick from the Dave Matthews Band's 'Crash Into Me,' Nathanson kicks off the track with seemingly innocent, vague lyrics that are actually pretty filthy:

"I wanna watch you undress, I wanna watch you glow / Let your hair down all around, cover us both / You come in a wave, we crash and we roll / You surround me, pull me, drown me, swallow me whole."

Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles dials down the twang, adopting more of a soulful tone as she sings, "You pull me in close
 / You buckle my knees
/ I shake and I shiver just to feel you breathe."

This is Sugarland's second significant foray into the pop world, after Nettles' Bon Jovi duet 'Who Says You Can't Go Home.' Although we liked that one a little better, 'Run' is a pleasant pop song with a decent hook and nice harmonies between Nathanson and Nettles.
