The Royal Wedding is just days away, and you might be wondering: Who is going to be Meghan Markle's maid of honor?

On Friday (May 4), a spokesperson for the palace revealed that Markle will actually not have a maid of honor. But the decision isn't due to some weird royal rule: she was simply unable to choose just one person from her group of friends to stand beside her on her big day.

"She has a very close circle of friends and she could not just choose one. They will all be traveling to London that week to spend some quality time with her and she is pleased to have all their support there on her wedding day," an aide for the royal family explained, via Us Weekly.

In addition, the couple will keep the tradition of having children as their bridesmaids and page boys. Markle's mother will get ready with her before the ceremony, while her father will walk her down the aisle.

A number of Markle's famous friends are believed to be invited to the wedding, including True Blood star Janina Gavankar, tennis pro Serena Williams and Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra, who confirmed her attendance in April.

Prince Harry's brother, Prince William, will stand beside him as his best man.

The Royal Wedding will take place on Saturday May 19.
