Like most Gilmore Girls fans, Melissa McCarthy has some opinions on those infamous "final four words."

Sitting down with Entertainment Tonight, the Nobodies actress addressed the controversial ending to Netflix's revival of the beloved series, explaining, "I had been waiting a long time to know, because [creator] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] had always said she knows exactly how it ends, but now it's like... 'Is that the last four words?'"

A longtime mystery for Gilmore Girls fans, the original four words Sherman-Palladino wanted to end the series with were finally unveiled in the final episode of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life back in November. Unfortunately, many were disappointed, shocked and even upset by the ending, in which Rory tells her mom, Lorelai, that she's pregnant.

While the scene did, however, leave the door open for potential future sequels, one character who would likely not return if the series was renewed is Sookie.

McCarthy, who returned briefly to make a cameo in the reboot's "Fall" episode, says she's done playing Sookie St. James... but may be willing to come back as another character.

"No [I wouldn't come back as Sookie], but I would come back as Lorelai," she joked to ET. "And that is a challenge to Lauren Graham!"
