Michael Buble Performs Christmas Classics at Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting
That sharp-dressed man Michael Buble performed last night (Nov. 30) at the annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Rockefeller Center in New York City -- a signpost event that reminds us that the holidays are upon us.
Buble, whose recently released holiday album 'Christmas' inched up in the standings and actually landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Charts this week, was suited up, looking all dapper as he crooned two Christmas standards. With some assistance from his backing band, Buble sailed through 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' and 'Silver Bells.'
Buble is such a modern-day Rat Packer, with his stylish attire, amazing voice and charming personality. Surrounded by pointsettias, he easily won the crowd over with 'I'll Be Home For Christmas.' He was assisted by Naturally 7 for 'Silver Bells,' and the harmonizing reminded us why he is such a pop music treasure. He's Canadian, so we can't exactly call him a natural treasure -- let's just call Buble a North American treasure. That geographically covers it all.
The tree lighting ceremony/event was full of our fave Canadian pop stars, as Justin Bieber also performed. Happy holidays!
