Sad news to report: It looks like Michelle Branch has filed for divorce from her husband, Teddy Landau, after 11 years of marriage. According to PEOPLE, she is citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The couple has reportedly been separated since Jan. 2014, but it wasn't until Feb. 9 of this year that Michelle officially filed for divorce.

According to TMZ, the split appears to be an amicable one as the "Everywhere" singer reportedly did not use a lawyer to file her divorce documents.

Michelle married Teddy, who is her former bassist, in May 2004 in Mexico, but their marriage was first met with some controversy because of the age difference between the two (at the time Michelle was 20 and Teddy was 39). Back in 2006, Michelle told PEOPLE in an interview that her parents were uncomfortable with their union, saying, "My relationship had a very rocky start. My parents hated the idea -- and now love him, of course. My dad never wanted me to be with a musician. I mean, how unrealistic is that? I'm not going to fall for an accountant! And when he found out he was closer in age to my husband than I was, he got very nervous. And even the record label wasn't sure: 'Do we really want Michelle in a serious relationship?'"

Michelle and Teddy have one daughter together, a nine-year-old named Owen Isabelle, and are planning on filing for joint custody. Michelle has reportedly been seeing Chris Null, a bassist for Los Angeles-based rock band, Dead Sara.
