Former 'Jersey Shore' star Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino and his brother Marc appeared in New Jersey Federal Court today, Sept. 24, where they both plead not guilty to charges that they committed tax fraud.

People reports that Sorrentino and his brother are accused of not paying taxes on $8.9 million in income. Each were charged with one count of conspiracy to defraud the United State government. The Situation is charged with filing two counts of false returns, while his brother has been charged with three.

"From in or about January 2010 through in or about November 2013, in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, in the District of New Jersey and elsewhere, defendants Marc Sorrentino and Michael Sorrentino, aka 'The Situation,' did knowingly and intentionally conspire and agree with each other and others to defraud the United States by impeding, impairing, obstructing, and defeating, through deceitful and dishonest means, the lawful functions of the IRS, a constituent agency of the United States Department of the Treasury, to ascertain, compute, assess, and collect federal income taxes," a court documents states.

In June, The Situation was arrested for getting in a fight with another brother, Frank, at a tanning salon that they both own.
