Patrick Schwarzenegger may have denied cheating on Miley Cyrus, but that hasn't stopped her army of die-hard fans from threatening him. Yikes!

Judging from fan reactions on Twitter, it looks like the Smilers were split into camps. While some believed Patrick and were glad to see him speak out against the rumors, others gave him a little side-eye and didn't quite believe him. And then there were those who actually threatened him via the social networking site.

According to the Hollywood Gossip, some fans used emojis for their threats, sending Miley's BF emoticons like knives and bombs. Others allegedly threatened him with creepy warnings, such as "Be ready for what's to come" and "You better run for your life when you come to L.A." People also tweeted:

Even though their threats are most likely harmless, they're still pretty scary. While fan dedication is an admirable quality 99.9 percent of the time, there's no denying that sometimes select members of a fan base can take things a little too far. And yes, thinly veiled death threats fall into that category.

Cheating rumors swirled around the couple this weekend after TMZ published photos of Patrick taking body shots off of a female friend and walking with his arms around her. Patrick addressed the pictures on Twitter, writing:
