When you forget the twerking, the tongue action, the little people and the constant nakedness, you remember that Miley Cyrus is actually a reeeeeeaaaaalllllly good singer. She proved it once again with her BBC Live Lounge cover of Lana Del Rey's head-down track 'Summertime Sadness.'

Cyrus delivered her version of LDR's hit, the radio remix version of which sounds like a club banger, as a slow burning ballad. Her smoky, husky voice added a whole other element and dimension to the song, making it sound like one of her own original tracks.

Dare we say that we like it better than the melancholy original? Well, we sorta do. Cyrus has a wider vocal range than LDR, so she definitely remade the song in an entirely different way.

See what happens when you strip away the antics and the headlining-seeking behavior? This is a case of the song taking center stage, not Miley.

PopCrushers and Smilers, what did you think of Miley's take on Lana Del Rey's song?
