Goodbye to the blond bang swoop, the dueling Minnie Mouse ears, the dreadlocks that could scrub a tile floor clean — Miley Cyrus has debuted perhaps her most shocking hair makeover in years: a conservative, earthy bob.

The "Dooo It" singer, who recently sported a head full of green micro-braids at a show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, shared an Instagram photo yesterday (December 28) that found her freed locks looking fresh and untouched — something that could have likely found a home on the Hannah Montana set. Oh, and she shared the frame with Alimi Ballard, who played the Quiz Master on Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Enchantments upon enchantments!

"Filled w happiness and joy ! Ran into our favorite quiz master!!!! Alimi Ballard! Aka Albert!" Miley captioned the photo above, which was met with hearty approval from followers. "Flawless...you look so happy," @irlandald wrote, while @valerieohhh noted "OMG HER HAIR IS SO CUTE NOW I LOVE IT."

In February 2013, Miley told E! News that she'd never have long hair again, noting "I feel like I had bun every day of my life...I hated the extensions hair — that's sewn into your head. It's creepy." But then, six months later, she told ABC News she missed her lengthier locks, and admitted "I'm secretly tugging on it every night and taking Viviscal...I'm not going to lie. But I'm going to rock [short hair] while I have it."

Next stop...anyone's guess.
