The 'Wrecking Ball' will drop in Times Square on New Year's Eve, as Miley Cyrus has ditched her original plans to appear in Miami in order to hang in the Big Apple.

Sorry, Florida!

She shared the change of plans via her Twitter feed and then offered her regrets, via tweet, to her bros and her crew in Miami. We can't say we blame her for skipping out on the fun and sun of Miami in favor of the chill and the brrr of NYC, since 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' is the program that pretty much everyone watches on NYE.

"Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans. @RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!" she tweeted.

Cyrus is set to perform in Times Square at 11:45PM ET, so she will be right in the middle of all of the action, ready ditch 2013 and to ring in 2014, according to Us Weekly. Something tells us she will be pulling out all the stops and is planning one unforgettable performance.

Will Miley twerk her way into 2014? Probably.

Other performers set to appear as part of the New Years's Eve festivities in New York and Los Angeles include Ariana Grande, Capital Cities and more.
