First it was salvia. Now it's sarcasm. That's how Miley Cyrus and her team are addressing what could become a PR crisis for the singer. Cyrus' rep chalked the teen queen's latest dalliance with marijuana up as "sarcasm."

A little backstory: A year ago, Cyrus came under fire when she was caught smoking out of a bong. She quickly leapt into damage control mode, claiming it was salvia, not weed. She apologized to fans and seemed to take responsibility for her behavior and was genuinely disappointed in her actions and how fans may have interpreted them. All was forgiven.

Fast forward a year and Cyrus claimed she is a stoner during her birthday party last week during which she was presented with a "Bob Miley" cake. The baked treat was a play on Bob Marley, the reggae legend and pot proponent, and a video leaked where Cyrus, 19, said, "You know you're a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f---in' weed." It was an ill-advised and stupid comment, magnified by last year's drama.

Her rep issued a statement to Access Hollywood, downplaying not only the comment but the media's reaction to it. "The cake was a joke and Miley was being sarcastic. It is being completely taken out of context."

However, this is the second time that Miley and marijuana have been intertwined. While her rep could very well be telling the truth and this could all be an unfortunate and overblown joke, it is a bit of a head-scratcher. One might think a teen celeb as pulled together as Miley Cyrus would exercise a bit more caution in such matters.
