Miley Cyrus might have a new permanent acting gig! There may be an opening on 'Two and a Half Men,' now that co-star Angus T. Jones has said he hates the show and wants out, and a new report suggests that some on the show want Cyrus to replace Jones for good.

Celebuzz claims that as producers figure out what to do about Jones, they are seriously considering bringing in Cyrus to take his place. Miley has plenty of sitcom experience from her years on 'Hannah Montana,' and she already appeared on 'Two and a Half Men' in a two-episode cameo when she played the daughter of a friend of Ashton Kutcher's character.

"The episodes that she appeared on brought in the highest ratings of the season," a source said. "One possibility is that she could easily be written into the show to go to college.” The insider added, "When she was on set, she was pleasant and very enjoyable to work with. She won everyone over. Now the whispers are growing louder. People involved in the show want Miley to replace Angus."

Jones created a stir this week when he blasted the show in a web video for a Christian church, saying, "I'm on 'Two and a Half Men' and I don't want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch on television ... it's bad news."

Now in its 10th season, 'Two and a Half Men' has survived cast changes before, like when Kutcher replaced Charlie Sheen. Neilsen ratings through Nov. 25 show 'Two and a Half Men' is the 8th-rated show in prime time, but we bet those ratings would go even higher with Cyrus. After all, nobody's really watching specifically to see Jones, but Miley's fans would make the show appointment television if she joined the cast.
