‘Dirty Hippie’ Miley Cyrus Takes Her Top Off for V Magazine

The second installment of Miley Cyrus’ "Diary of a Dirty Hippie" spread for V Magazine has surfaced, and it includes a few candid Polaroids of the Bangerz singer including one featuring Cyrus topless while lounging with her cat (the aptly-named Lil Cat). Cyrus’ "Diary of a Dirty Hippie" appears in the May issue of V Magazine. According to the publication, the pictures were taken during Cyrus’ trip to hang out with her friend and collaborator Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips.

“After a trip to the Grand Canyon, Miley Cyrus and Cheyne Thomas take a party-fueled RV pilgrimage to Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne’s house in ‘Oklahomies,'” the series’ caption reads.

Cyrus is spending a lot of time with Coyne these days, as the two have reportedly been working together on seven new songs between Coyne’s studio and Cyrus’ L.A. home.

“Her studio is just a little room with a desk, and Miley was sitting there mixing,” Coyne said in an interview. “I was like, ‘I can’t picture Beyonce doing this!’ It’s not a putdown of Beyonce. I just don’t see her recording her own vocals and then EQ’ing it. It’s so punk rock!”

The V Magazine photos certainly depict a comfortable relationship, and according to Coyne, he and Cyrus have become fast friends. “We’ve just been getting in each other’s worlds,” Coyne added. “We text every day -- sometimes three times, sometimes a thousand.”
