Miley Cyrus has released a video for 'You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,' her contribution to the Bob Dylan tribute album 'Chimes of Freedom.' The simple video features nothing more than shots of the singer, her band and their instruments, putting the focus right where Dylan would want it -- on the song itself.

The no frills video fits the low-key song, which features only Miley's voice alongside a couple of guitars and gently brushed drums. Cyrus dresses down in a sleeveless vest and ripped jeans, crooning the mournful ballad while a guitarist sits next to her in an otherwise empty room.

The subdued video shows fans a new side of the young singer. It's a completely different kind of party in the U.S.A. when Cyrus sings, "I’ll look for you in old Honolulu / San Francisco, Ashtabula / You're gonna have to leave me now, I know / I’ll see you in the sky above / In the tall grass, in the ones I love / You're gonna make me lonesome when you go."

It's safe to say many Dylan fans were skeptical when they saw Miley's name on the tracklisting for 'Chimes of Freedom,' but the song and video are a worthy tribute to the rock & roll legend.

'Chimes of Freedom,' a 4-CD set featuring Maroon 5, Lenny Kravitz, Kesha, Darren Criss, and dozens of others, hits retailers tomorrow, Feb. 24.
