Miranda Cosgrove has come a long way since Nickelodeon, and that is more than evident in her latest single, 'Dancing Crazy' -- a pop masterpiece written by Avril Lavigne, Max Martin and Shellback.

We think the Avril influence is strong in 'Dancing Crazy,' as the song is eerily reminiscent of Lavigne's pop-punk 'Sk8er Boi' days. Still, Cosgrove stands alone and gives this release some spunk of her own.

The lyrics describe the ideal nightlife of a typical teenager, with everybody dancing crazy -- and they never stop, they never stop.

Cosgrove lays out the plans for the evening in this fun line: "You, me, in the spotlight / Running around until the end of the night / Hot, hot, keep it coming / We can rock out until the early morning."

We just hope that she's checking in with her parents while she's out running around until the wee hours of the morning!

'Dancing Crazy' is the follow-up to 2010's 'Kissin' U,' but is the first single from the 17-year-old's upcoming EP, 'High Maintenance,' due March 15. Cosgrove is currently out on her 'Dancing Crazy' tour with Greyson Chance.
