Maybe the world is on fire thanks to President Donald Trump and his recent string of alarming executive orders, but last night's (January 29) Miss Universe Pageant successfully soared over the scorched earth.

Hosted by Steve Harvey, who famously named the show's wrong winner at the 2015 ceremony, the 2017 pageant welcomed contestants from 86 different countries, who competed in a swimsuit competition, an evening gown display and then a final question. And after all was said and done, it was Iris Mittenaere — Miss France — who came away with the crown and scepter.

Still, some might argue it was Miss Colombia who stole the show. Andrea Tovar, the eventual second runner-up, confronted Harvey about her native country's impression of Harvey following the 2015 gaffe and pretty much burned the host beyond recognition.

"I wanna just ask this for myself, how do people in Colombia feel about Steve Harvey?" Harvey asked

"You want the truth?" Tovar answered.

"No, just lie to me," he joked, grimacing.

"A lot of people hate you," she said, as the crowd laughed. "But I love you!"

Yikes.

Then, when Tovar proceeded to answer the rest of the question in Spanish, Harvey asked "Is that a death threat?" which shouldn't be too shocking because he has a pretty reliable history of saying terrible things.
