In the past, the MTV Movie Awards have churned out fantastic performances by some of the best and brightest stars in the music industry. Sure, given the title, the event is about movies. But who doesn’t love taking a break from the banality of watching two actors -- who usually hold an immense amount of apathy on their faces -- reading from a prompter about an award that neither were nominated for? That performance break is where the show really shines. It’s the same reason we watch MTV. We love music!
