Nominees for MTV’s ‘O’ Music Awards Announced

MTV has announced the nominees for their first-ever 'O' Awards, and the list boasts quite the eclectic mix in categories like Must Follow Artist on Twitter and Best Music Hashtag Meme. The MTV 'O' Awards will celebrate anyone or anything that has become a viral sensation on the World Wide Web, and the winners will be completely decided by fan votes.

Lady Gaga is in the lead with the three nominations, and Kanye West has a whole category dedicated to his outrageous tweets. Best fan covers include Maria Aragon's piano laden rendition of 'Born This Way' and the several covers by Grammy-featured Staten Island singing group PS22 Chorus. Fans can vote for their favorites in each category (beginning on April 5) by clicking here. The awards will stream live at 8PM on April 28.
