On March 15, 2011, Snoop Dogg (along with fans everywhere) mourned the loss of one of his best friends and collaborators, Nate Dogg. The world lost a great talent when Nate Dogg passed away at the age of 41 due to complications from multiple strokes.

Snoop tweeted after the death of his friend, writing, "We lost a true legend n hip hop n rnb. One of my best friends n a brother to me since 1986 when I was a sophomore at poly high where we met."

Nate Dogg (born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale) lent his smooth, signature singing and rap vocals to many hip-hop and R&B songs over the years, including Snoop's 'Lay Low,' Eminem's 'Shake That,' Dr. Dre's 'The Next Episode,' and 50 Cent's '21 Questions.'
