Naya Rivera shared her pretty controversial shower theory on 'The View' this morning (Jan. 13).

"I have a theory about showering," the 'Glee' actress started. "I think that white people shower more than ethnics. I think that showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing."

While the audience initially burst into laughter, some members of the audience were understandably surprised -- and most likely offended -- by the star's remarks. Rosie O' Donnell even called out one audience member, an African-American woman with a shocked look on her face who immediately debunked Rivera's theory.

"My mom is half black and half Puerto Rican and she showers every day, so I can say this," Rivera continued, defending her point. "I am now married to a white man and he showers a LOT, like, two, three times a day. I'm like, 'What are you doing?'"

Unfortunately for the actress, many fans were asking her the same question on social media. But Naya Rivera just brushed off the negative remarks with a tweet, writing:
