‘New Girl’ Starlet Zooey Deschanel Shows Off Her Singing Chops in New Webcam Video

If you are familiar with Zooey Deschanel's career, you probably know that her knack for entertaining people stretches way beyond the realm of acting. Deschanel is actually an accomplished singer as well, performing as one half of the indie pop group She & Him. You can also hear her distinctive singing voice in her new television show, 'New Girl,' which airs on Tuesday nights on FOX after 'Glee.'

Deschanel recently uploaded a new cover video that she taped of herself on her webcam. In the clip, the brunette beauty, who is also married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, performs the classic tune 'The Wayward Wind.' The song originated as a country tune, and was recorded by a variety of artists over the years including Gogi Grant, Connie Francis, Patsy Cline and Neil Young. Deschanel's vocals accompany the song perfectly, considering her sultry and sweet voice has an old-school feel.
