We have been loving the tracks from Nick Jonas' upcoming self-titled album, and this new one is certainly no exception. Although his past few song releases have been pretty sultry and -- dare we say -- sexy, this new song, 'Avalanche,' takes on a different feel altogether. The mid-tempo duet with the incredible Demi Lovato is a powerful and mournful look on a failing relationship, and it hurts so good.

The song is about the demise of a relationship, and the sad fact that no matter how hard they may try to fix things, they're ultimately doomed. With lyrics like: "Even if we survive / We'll crash down like an avalanche," Nick's explanation of the song makes total sense. He told MTV: "The song is about a relationship being on the verge of breaking down… [Demi] killed the vocals and I knew immediately that it was the perfect song for us to do together."

The Disney alums sound fantastic on the track together, as their voices perfectly complement each other. Nick went on to say of the track to MTV: "We just heard it and fell in love with it. I think in a strange way it embodied what we went through a couple of years ago, when she was going through a really tough time."

Considering the feeling of hardship and love lost that comes through so strongly in the song, we completely understand where he's coming from in saying that. You can listen to their fantastic duet above!

Nick's new album drops on Nov. 11, and we can't wait to hear the entire thing.
