Nicki Minaj's potty mouth got her in trouble while she was performing last Saturday (July 23) at the annual Reggae Sumfest concert in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The Harajuku Barbie was slapped with $1,000 fine for using profanity during her set on the final night of the week-long music festival. A judge ordered Nicki to appear in court on Thursday but the rapper's attorney asked to have the case moved up to Monday (July 25), where he entered a guilty plea on her behalf and immediately paid the fine.

For those who may not know, there's a Jamaican law that prohibits performers from using foul language or threatening words in a public venue. Minaj's Young Money labelmate Drake was almost thrown in the slammer last year for using profanity during a show with dancehall superstar Mavado. So, yeah, the Jamaican police do enforce this strict law no matter how silly it may sound.

As for Minaj, we don't think the fine put a dent in her Louis Vuitton pocketbook -- it was just a small expense for putting on a great show.
