Listen to a Dramatic Reading of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ [VIDEO]

Subscribe to PopCrush on

Can you imagine if Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Anaconda’ was read out loud like it was serious poetry? That was the idea behind one YouTuber’s genius vid, entitled: ‘Pop Music Poetry: Nicki Minaj – Anaconda.’ It sounds poetic already.

Spoken over soothing video clips like gently floating clouds and waves crashing at sunset, the narrator’s rich, deep voice only adds to the hilarity of the lyrics. Of course, the lyrics were already pretty ridic to begin with (“This dude named Michael used to ride motorcycles / D— bigger than a tower, I ain’t talking about Eiffel’s”), so you can only imagine what they sound like when taken super seriously.

We haven’t stopped laughing since we first watched the hilarious reading, so do yourself a favor and check it out in the video above. In our professional opinion, it’s sheer poetry.
