Nicki Minaj Wins Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album at 2011 American Music Awards

Nicki Minaj was the big winner at the 2011 American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 20) in Los Angeles. The 'Super Bass' rapper won not only for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist earlier in the evening, but also Favorite Rap Album for her 2010 debut LP 'Pink Friday.'

When Minaj returned to the stage to pick up her second award of the night, she was overwhelmed by the win and almost broke into the tears during her acceptance speech. The Harajuku Barbie was able to compose herself to thank Lil Wayne, Birdman and the whole Young Money Records. She also thanked her mother, who, she revealed, is planning to drop her own rap album. Minaj lastly thanked past and future ladies of rap, including Queen Latifah.
