Nicki Minaj and Britney Spears are getting ready to embark on their co-headlining tour later this month, which, according to the hip-hop star, will include plenty of theatrics.

"I'm just trying to [put] more theater on that stage," Minaj said at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. "It's music, but it's also about putting on a show. So, that's my goal -- to truly put on a show and incorporate theater and dance and all that."

The rapper confirmed that she and Spears have been rehearsing separately, but will get together in a few days to talk about their tour plans. Minaj wouldn't reveal any additional details about the production, but said she's definitely kicking things up a notch.

"I think it's pretty easy to take it to the next level," she continued. "I don't think my ... I think I'm nowhere close to where I could be as far as [where] my shows have been so I think it's going to be pretty easy, actually."

The Femme Fatale tour begins on June 17 in Sacramento, Calif., and will wrap on Aug. 13 in Toronto, Ontario.
