Annoying Pop Star Habit: Speaking in an English accent when you're not from England.

Madonna and Nicki Minaj are the biggest culprits of this particular pet peeve of ours. Apparently Madonna is from Michigan by way of London and Nicki Minaj is from Little Liverpool, AKA Jamaica, Queens.

We get that Madge spends a lot of time in the U.K. and was previously married to Englishman Guy Richie, but celebs like the Osbourne family pretty much live in the U.S. full time and haven't lost their British accents. It makes no dang sense!

As for Nicki Minaj, she says her "accent" comes out when she's nervous. Most people get sweaty or start jumbling their words, but not Ms. Minaj! She just channels her inner Mary Poppins and BAM! Her butterflies go away... we guess? Or it's just a ploy for attention.
