Sometimes your enemies become your friends, and in Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey's case, sometimes that happens by watching a sex tape together.

During a press conference for 'American Idol' with Minaj and Carey, the 'Starships' rapper claimed that she and the R&B diva have declared a truce. According to The Sun, when asked how the two judges made up, Minaj said: "I put on my sex tape." Carey then said: "Time heals all wounds." Minaj quickly added, "And we watched my tape ... We’re professionals."

Minaj also added that Carey is one of her "favorite artists of all time." She continued, "She's really shaped a generation of singers. To be on a panel with her, it's kind of crazy."

Let bygones be bygones! Last October, a video from the auditions taping surfaced, showing Minaj yelling at Carey and threatening to "knock out" the singer. However, the stars claim everything is A-OK between them now.

It has yet to be determined when the casual sex tape viewing went down. Just as recently as earlier this week, Carey said she had to hire extra security on set because her altercations with Minaj made her feel "unsafe."

"Anytime anybody’s reeling threats at somebody, you know, that's just not appropriate. Sitting there on the road with two babies, I'm not gonna take any chances, so yeah I did hire more security," she said. The two-part season premiere of 'American Idol' will air on Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 on FOX at 8PM ET.
