Bad news, Barbz: Queen has been put on pause.

On Thursday (May 24), Nicki Minaj revealed she's pushing her fourth studio album back by another two months. Initially destined for June 15, a mere two weeks from now, Queen will now see its release in August.

The musician made the announcement live on social media shortly after canceling her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week after coming down with the flu.

"The album itself I think I want to put out on August 10," the Harajuku Barbie spoke of her anticipated LP via Instagram Live. "I want to put out my second single, which I'm really, really excited about, and I want to now start an official countdown."

The emcee, who also made the pushback official on Twitter, has already dropped two bangers from the record — "Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz" — with two neon-lit music videos to match.

As a consolation to her fans for the devastating setback, Nicki promised in an Instagram live chat that she would treat her followers to a handful of surprises about the album between June 11 and June 15 to make up for the upset.

One such surprise is the artwork for the long-awaited album, which she name-dropped for the first time at the 2018 Met Ball Gala and hinted at a few exciting collaborations in store.
