Watch Nicki Minaj Throw a Phone at a Classmate in the Name of Acting [VIDEO]

We've said it before and we'll say it again: there's nothing quite like getting a glimpse at celebrities long before they were famous. From an eight-year-old Beyonce performing at a talent show to Taylor Swift being obsessed with cats and bicycles to Jennifer Lawrence performing Shakespeare in high school, it always feels like Christmas came early when we get to see celebs before the glitz and glam and perfection of their craft.

Our latest found-footage of the celebrity ilk shows a young Nicki Minaj back when she was a drama student at New York's esteemed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School. She's acting in a scene with a fellow classmate, and while we don't know what the material is, exactly, it's safe to say that it's pretty intense. At one point Nicki says, "Call that judge right now! Tell him I can have my baby back!" and when her acting partner refuses to comply, Nicki struggles for the phone and throws it, full force, at the girl. Their acting teacher then interferes and says, "We gotta be careful!"

Thankfully, Nicki didn't actually hit the girl with the phone, but we have to admit -- her acting was pretty convincing, and it comes as no surprise to us that she went on to become a total superstar.
