Nicole Scherzinger lit up 'Good Morning America' today with a performance of her latest single, 'Don't Hold Your Breath.'

Performing with a full band and backup singers, the 'X Factor' judge belted out the empowering vocals on the dance-pop track, singing, "You can’t touch me now, there’s no feeling left / If you think I’m coming back, don’t hold your breath / What you did to me, boy I can’t forget / If you think I’m coming back, don’t hold your breath." Scherzinger has not found success with several previous singles, but this one sounds like a potential hit.

The former Pussycat Doll singer told 'GMA' host Robin Roberts about one of her idols, Whitney Houston. "'The Greatest Love of All,' that's the first song I ever started singing," she said. "Whitney is just magical. There's no one else like her."

Scherzinger's often-delayed solo debut 'Killer Love,' released in Europe several months ago, is finally scheduled to be released in America later this year. She told Roberts, "It's a fun album ... It comes from heartbreak and love as well. It makes you want to dance and makes you feel good. It's uplifting."
