If you desperately want to smell the way One Direction wants you to smell, you probably own their previous three fragrances. But apparently the previous products don't sufficiently encapsulate 1D's favorite scents, because they've released a new ad for yet another perfume, called Between Us.

The ad wants you to know that in order to get the ingredients for this necessary fragrance, Harry climbed “the highest mountain,” Liam swam “the deepest sea,” Louis went to a grocery store in a space suit and Niall forced himself to cry. The entire ad is like a testament to their vocal abilities and showmanship: Harry and Liam try the hardest, while Louis and Niall get by doing the bare minimum. This commercial could even be applicable to a long-ago five-piece One Direction, because it was always a miracle when Zayn showed up to things. Whenever he didn't, his loss was felt, as it is here, as it will be forever.

The official description for the perfume states what the commercial does not -- what it actually smells like. Its convoluted blurb says, "The floral heart of the fragrance opens full of solar jasmine flowers and freesia while gardenia petals bring delicate intrigue. Patchouli brings mystery and sensuality while vanilla and golden amber indulge you in a seductive blend of candied sugar, revealing an outstanding fragrance."

There are so many scents captured in this one bottle. One Direction have presented fans with something that is, apparently, both floral and candy-scented, aiming for a blend of delicate and seductive in a way that doesn't sound very appealing. It shouldn't work, but maybe it does, which is like a metaphor for the band itself.

We feel Twitter user @LittleLilourry says it best in a series of tweets directed to the group's management team when she says, "I'll buy anything they release because I'm whipped af but I'd much rather have UK meet & greet tickets!!" She also refers to the perfume as "useless sh-- that we already have 3 of!"

Check out the ad for Between Us above, and let us know if you'll be adding this fourth perfume to your ever-growing collection of 1D paraphernalia.
