It was a sad moment for Directioners everywhere on Oct. 31, as One Direction played their last show of the On the Road Tour in Sheffield, England. The concert was the band's last concert together as a group before they plan on going on an extended hiatus.

Fans shed tears as the Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne shared hugs and congratulated each other on stage. The poignant moment was captured by numerous fans and uploaded to social media, such as the video posted above on YouTube.

The band announced over the summer that at the conclusion of the On the Road Tour, the members will embark on solo careers for an undefined period of time. There has been speculation that this will be the end of One Direction, but each band member has insisted that the break is not permanent.

The boys' fifth album, Made in the A.M., is set to be released on Nov. 13.  They are scheduled to appear at the BBC Music Awards and the American Music Awards before the hiatus begins in 2016.

Directioners around the world felt the weight of the last show, with #ProudofOneDirection began trending worldwide.
