One Direction mania invaded Toronto yesterday, Feb. 27, as you can see from the photographic evidence of the event!

The Canadian ladies came out in full effect: Over 2,000 fans, affectionately dubbed "Directioners," showed up. They are unwavering in their support of and dedication to the British boy band, so they turned out in droves for 1D's Much Music appearance. There were so many fans braving the cold and congregating that the street had to be shut down temporarily to account for everyone's safety. One Direction are on the brink of superstardom.

Much Music revealed that One Direction's appearance generated the most ticket requests in their history. Over 17,000 One Direction fans called, hoping for a chance to see the boys live and in the flesh.

As for the actual appearance, screams, squeals, shrieks and sobs could be heard for miles, according to video (that was later taken down). One Direction tissues were passed out for the little ladies who shed tears over the fact that they were this close to their heroes.

You could barely hear the poor host or the guys talking. That's how loud the screams were.

The ladies love One Direction, unquestionably.

One Direction will release their debut 'Up All Night' on March 13.
