Good news, Directioners! One Direction are hard at work on album No. 2, and you'll be able to hear it very soon. How soon? How does by Christmas sound?Of course, when you're head over heels in love with Harry Styles and Co., the six months between now and the holidays can feel like forever. But when you take into consideration that 'Up All Night' has only been out for seven months (and only about four of those in the U.S.), it's indeed a speedy release.

A source told The Daily Star (via S TV) that in order to maintain their momentum, the U.K. 'X Factor' alums want to capitalize on the holiday shopping season -- because what better stocking stuffer than 1D? The source advised, "The plan is to have a new single out around November, with the album to follow a week or two later."

It was revealed last month that the band were already in the studio working on their second album when Niall Horan tweeted about it, posting,  “great day soo far in the studio!! got some crackin tunes on the way!.. its been a while since we’ve been in the studio..great t be back.” He followed that with another post that read, “Another amazing day in studio with rami, carl and @savan_kotecha , got some sick tunes for next album, and for you to hear worldwide on tour.”

Just yesterday we learned what the guys will be writing about in their studio sessions: their lady loves! We can't wait to hear what's in store -- especially live on their 2013 arena tour!
