Directioners, we have good news and we have bad news. The good news? One Direction won't be the new Big Time Rush. The bad news? We won't be seeing them on the small screen as often as we'd thought.

Following rumors that grew steadily louder of a television series, One Direction member Niall Horan has spoken out to set the record straight. “It’s nothing that I know about. There’s no sign of a TV show in the pipeline.”

Horan's words directly contradict a recent announcement by Nickelodeon, who said in a statement, "The rumours are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for One Direction. Welcome to the family!"

However, Horan does say that Nickelodeon is a welcoming home for the 'X Factor U.K.' alumni. “Nickelodeon have been amazing to us. They have helped us out so much while we’ve been here, and we’re performing on the Kids’ Choice Awards with Katy Perry.”

Perhaps Horan just means no concrete, specific deal has been made yet. It's been unclear what kinds of projects the guys would do for television, as reports suggest that not all of the members are comfortable acting -- and that they'll be busy touring most of 2012, so scheduling filming would prove difficult. Plus, they're already too busy making history to make a TV show!
