One Direction To Work on Solo Projects But Still Staying Together

One Direction may be working on new solo projects nowadays, but don't worry Directioners, they're not breaking up!

With rumors about One Direction taking a break after their next album, everyone was wondering what lies in the futures of Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan. However the guys are planning to stay together while doing their own things on the side.

"The boys know that by sticking together they can still pursue everything they want to do as a foursome, as well as individually," a friend told People. "And there's no reason why they can't have lifetime careers both as a group and working on their own solo projects – just like the [Rolling] Stones."

The friend also told the magazine that the guys are big fans of the veteran UK rock band and are quite inspired by the Rolling Stones' music, career and longevity.

So what exactly are these solo gigs the guys have got going? Well, Harry is reportedly trying his hand at acting while Louis has launched his own label, which will be an imprint of Simon Cowell's Syco where the boys are signed to. Although we're not too sure what Liam will get up to, we can totally see Niall really giving his golf career a go.

"It's the best of all worlds. The band all have their own solo interests, whether it be music, art or acting, but they can stick together," the friend also told People. "Harry, Louis, Liam and Niall are all very loyal to each other and support each other's future together and on solo projects – music or otherwise … They are all incredibly loyal despite the multiple offers they get all the time.”

One Direction are just about to head back on road for the next leg of their world tour and are also working on their fifth record.
